BIO: Caught 14 passes for 125 yards and one score as a senior, after 12/125/1 the prior season. Started all but two games at NMSU since he was a red-shirt freshman.
POSITIVES: Solid athlete with adequate size and good growth potential for the next level. Quickly releases from the line of scrimmage, works to sell his routes and displays strong hands with the ability to reach back and grab the errant throw out of the air. Shows a good head for the game and finds the open spot on the field. Works his blocks and competitive.
NEGATIVES: Has a tall slender build and not strong at the point. Rarely involved in the passing game and must learn to come back to the quarterback rather than stand around. Lacks the downfield speed or ability to make plays into the secondary.
ANALYSIS: Presently Davis stands as a developmental prospect that must add bulk and strength to his frame to have any chance of making it at the next level. His football smarts, competitive nature and character will be an attraction to NFL coaches.
