Position:WR Class: Sr School:
Big 12 Ht., Wt.: 6'3, 210 40 Time: 4.69 Grade: 3.44
BIO: Three-year starter who posted 63/883/11 as a senior, setting a CU single season record for receiving touchdowns. Caught 41/643/7 as a junior after 30/512/2 the prior year. Listed 40 time was a result of his Combine performances though he plays faster.
POSITIVES: Clutch receiver that could fill the role of a possession wide out at the next level. Displays soft hands, uses the sidelines well and adjusts to the errant throw. Possesses strong hands and extends then pulls the errant pass from the air. Shields opponents with his frame, tracks the ball and looks the pass into his hands. Runs well laterally catching the pass in stride.
NEGATIVES: Lacks the deep speed and cannot run to daylight if given open space. Marginal blocker and gives inconsistent effort. Only an average route runner.
ANALYSIS: Early in his career McCoy seemed to be blossoming into an excellent receiver prospect and while his stats have improved, his overall play seemingly leveled off. Ran terribly at the Combine but still possesses enough skill to be a solid third receiver in the NFL.
