BIO: Moved into the starting lineup as a junior and caught 50/735/5 after posting 15/173/0 the previous campaign.
POSITIVES: Tall, slender receiver with adequate skills for the next level. Flexible, adjusts to the errant throw and gets vertical to grab the high ball. Comes back to the pass shielding defenders away, looks the ball and elusive running after the reception. Displays a burst of speed and effective when he implements good techniques.
NEGATIVES: Lacks the quick release off the line, not strong at the point and slowed by jams. Loses out to physical defenders and cannot take a pounding. Gets lazy with his technique and not a good blocker.
ANALYSIS: Unpolished in most every aspect of his game, Sam is a player that desperately needed another year of college to mature both physically and on the football field. May be given a look late in the draft and has an outside shot to be a team's fifth wide out, but still has a ways to go.
