BIO: Totaled 39/0/10 as a senior after 16/1/5 during his junior campaign. Posted career numbers of 70/4/26 as a sophomore. Outstanding special teams player in the past.
POSITIVES: Once highly rated cornerback whose play has dramatically slid the past two seasons. Fluid transitioning off the line, can backpedal, plant then quickly break on the pass. Anticipates pass defenses well, easily runs downfield or laterally with opponents and displays good hands for the pick.
NEGATIVES: Hesitant, falls asleep and seems uninterested in times. Easily gives up the inside, slow turning back the ball and lacks body control. Quick out of his back pedal, misses tackles and lacks discipline.
ANALYSIS: Good athlete with excellent size-speed numbers that has flashed top cover skills throughout college, Morton looked like a star in the making after the 2001 season. Has since turned off his college coaches and has been in and out of the starting lineup. Offers potential for the next level but must refocus and decide if he wants to make football a career.
