Big Ten Ht., Wt.: 6'0, 219 40 Time: 4.56 Grade: 3.2
BIO: Saw action in eight games as a senior after a leg injury and finished the season with 33/507/4. Broke out as a junior with numbers of 48/966/11, leading the team in all receiving categories.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized wide out that displays flashes of ability. Quick footed, works to sell his routes then comes back to the ball and extends to grab the difficult pass out of the air. Adjusts well, makes the catch with defenders draped on him and displays good eye-hand coordination. Works to come free, has a nice sense of timing and runs well laterally, catching the pass in stride.
NEGATIVES: Lacks the deep speed and not getting separation downfield. Not as consistent a blocker as a big-bodied receiver should be. Occasionally clutches the pass against his frame.
ANALYSIS: Big things were expected from Brown as a senior but the leg injury that sidelined him set back his development. Inconsistent perform at the Senior Bowl and Combine, a malady that plagued him throughout college. Combination of size and athleticism are intriguing, though he must improve his focus and increase his production to meet his upper most level. Potentially a third receiver at the next level.
