BIO: Starting kicker for Iowa the past four seasons. All-American selection as a senior after connecting on 20 of 21 field goals, with a long of 55 yards. Won similar honors as a junior after connecting on 21 of 24 field goals with a long of 49 yards.
POSITIVES: Strong-legged kicker that's been very accurate throughout college. Thrives under pressure and comes up with the important field goal in game-winning situations. Outstanding leg on kickoffs; consistently drives the ball into the end zone kicking off from his own 30-yard line. Gets lift on the ball during field goal attempts which allows coverage teams ample time to get down the field.
NEGATIVES: Only an average performance at the Combine and was not the best kicker in the RCA Dome.
ANALYSIS: One of the better kickers to enter the draft in a while, Kaeding is a justifiable first-day pick in the draft and should immediately produce as an NFL rookie .
