Position:QB Class: Sr School:
Kansas St. Conference:
Big 12 Ht., Wt.: 5'11, 194 40 Time: 4.63 Grade: 3.09
BIO: Three-year starter who posted 51.7 percent/2,545/24/12 passing as a senior after 52 percent/1,580/7/4 the prior year. Rushing numbers included 227/975/15 and 202/1,032/16 during his senior and junior seasons, respectively.
POSITIVES: Athletic passer most productive when the ball's in his hands. Elusive ball handler that escapes the rush, gets outside tackle and picks up yardage with his legs. Can throw on the run or bounces off defenders and breaks tackles. Possesses an NFL arm and zips the outs, fires the intermediate throws or drives the pass downfield.
NEGATIVES: Gets shaky as the pocket collapses, not always on the same page as his receivers and lacks field sense. Stares down primary targets and sprays his throws. Poor touchdown to interception ratio. Suffering from a right-shoulder injury and might not be ready for some time.
ANALYSIS: A scrambling quarterback that creates havoc for the defense, Roberson has a "slash" style of playing behind center. Not accurate enough to be a starting quarterback at the next level and may ultimately be used as a running back where his athleticism, foot quickness and competitiveness will be best served.
