Grading System
James Terry - WR Position: WR
Class: Sr
School: Kansas St.
Conference: Big 12
Ht., Wt.: 6'3, 177
40 Time: 4.66
Grade: 3.33

BIO: Junior college transfer who had a breakout season as a senior posting 64/1,232/13 after 28/561/5 as a junior.

POSITIVES: Tall, angular pass-catcher who took his game to the next level in 2003. Quick releasing off the line, excellent route runner that double cuts and displays sharpness out of his breaks, separating from defenders. Extends for the tough grab, looks the ball in and nicely times receptions. Gets vertical to high-point the ball, shows soft hands and makes the tough, acrobatic reception. Finds the open spot in the defense, tracks the deep ball well and easily makes the reception running full speed.

NEGATIVES: Thin and not strong. Slow getting off jams at the line of scrimmage and has difficulty in a crowd. Lacks the top-end speed or second gear.

ANALYSIS: Though not a prospect that will pass the eyeball test, Terry was incredibly productive last season and turned himself into a solid NFL prospect. Lacks the ideal size-speed numbers but has the frame to add more weight and could develop into a solid third receiver for an NFL team.
