BIO: Became a full-time starter as a senior and posted 68/8/6. Played in 13 games and started one as a junior, finishing the season with 26/1/0. POSITIVES: Overachieving defensive tackle with marginal upside for the next level. Plays with good leverage, relatively quick off the snap and stays with the action. Makes plays laterally and works to stays off blocks. Wedges between opponents up the field, displays an array of moves and quick locating the ball. NEGATIVES: Not big, strong and gets wired in blocks. Slow regaining balance off the initial hit. ANALYSIS: A self-starter that was a top reserve until last season, Montgomery's biggest assets are his quickness and ability to play with leverage. Just a marginal pass rusher, he'll have to excel on special teams in camp this summer to make a final roster. PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
