MATT BRANDT

School: Miami (OH)
Conference: MAC
Ht., Wt.: 6'4, 240

Grade: 3.15

BIO: Former wide receiver who moved to tight end as a sophomore. Posted career high numbers of 34/485/7 as a senior after 33/348/1 the prior year.

POSITIVES: Efficient pass-catching tight end and a reliable receiving target. Fluid releasing off the line, on the same page as the quarterback and sells his routes. Alert, tracks the pass and adjusts to the errant throw. Comes back to the ball or follows the quarterback across the field, always giving effort to come free. Sure-handed pass-catcher that takes a pounding and holds onto the ball.

NEGATIVES: Not an explosive blocker and lacks strength at the point or the ability to finish off opponents. Marginal playing speed and doesn't outrun linebackers.

ANALYSIS: A developmental prospect, Brandt offers solid hands and a frame that can add bulk. Practice squad player who could eventually become a team's third tight end.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
