THOMAS TAPEH
Thomas Tapeh - FB Position: FB
Class: Sr
School: Minnesota
Conference: Big Ten
Ht., Wt.: 6'1½, 245
40 Time: 4.81
Grade: 3.53

Selected by Philadelphia Eagles
Round 5, pick 30 (162 overall)
BIO: Part of the starting lineup the past three years, finishing his senior season carrying the ball 119/570/11 while also catching eight passes. Junior rushing totals were 181/906/8.

POSITIVES: Athletic lead blocker with the abilities to be a triple-threat player. Strong ball carrier that keeps his feet moving up the field and picks up a lot of yardage off initial contact. Runs with good lean, displays a burst of speed and surprising quickness. Patient and shows vision carrying the ball or blocking for the ball carrier. Seals blocks and controls defenders once engaged at the point of attack. Though not overly productive in the passing game, effective catching the ball when tossed his way.

NEGATIVES: Lacks top technique and tends to slow in defenders rather than explode into blocks. Does have a history of foot injuries which plagued him early in college.

ANALYSIS: Tapeh is a fine offensive player that can be used as a lead fullback, receiver out of the backfield or even effectively carry the ball on the inside if a team lines up in a one back set. Performed well at the Senior Bowl and improved his draft ranking. Solid pick in the middle frames.

PROJECTION: Late Third Round
