BIO: Former Indiana State transfer who previously backed up at both center and guard before moving into the starting position as a senior.
POSITIVES: hard-working, explosive blocker on the pivot who stepped up in 2003. Quick off the snap, jolts opponents with good hand punch and a knee-bender that gets underneath defenders. Solid position blocker that walls defenders from the action. Explosive in all his actions and a hard worker that spends a lot of time in the weight room.
NEGATIVES: Lacks bulk on the inside, does not adjust well nor is he effective on the second level. Lacks footwork and not comfortable in space.
ANALYSIS: Topping off a terrific senior campaign with a good performance at the Combine, Sewell turned himself into a legitimate NFL prospect the past 12 months. Stands to add more bulk but don’t be surprised if Sewell is starting a few years down the road.
