BIO: Moved into the starting lineup as a senior and collected 36/2/9. Sat on the sidelines the prior two seasons after tearing ligaments in both of his knees. POSITIVES: Speedy corner who rebounded well from major knee surgery. Fast, easily runs with opponents then positions himself to make a play on the deep ball. Reads the receivers eyes and times pass defenses well. Displays a good head for the ball, takes good angles to the action and defends the run. NEGATIVES: Slow transitioning off the line, prefers to side-shuffle and has trouble with big, bulky receivers. Prior knee injuries must be checked out. ANALYSIS: Yates stepped up to the plate and had a big senior campaign displaying terrific athleticism and cover skills in 2003. Yet if medical red flags are thrown up after knees examinations he won’t be invited to a camp. PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
