BIO: Three-year starter and all-conference selection as a senior after registering 77/12/5.5. Battled various injuries as a junior, finishing with 43/2.5/7 after a breakout sophomore campaign which included 50/12/2.
POSITIVES: Big, inside thumper that controls the line of scrimmage when focused on his game. Quick off the snap, bends his knees and gets leverage on opponents. Moves well laterally, makes plays up and down the line of scrimmage and slides off blocks to fill the gaps in run defense. Forceful up the field and tough to move off the point. Easily defeats several blocks and brings down the ball handler at the initial point of contact.
NEGATIVES: Looks poorly conditioned, lethargic and does not play with a sense of urgency. Stands to be quicker with his hands and develop more moves to shed blockers.
ANALYSIS: A dominant run-stuffer who possesses both size and natural strength, Tubbs is a game-impacting lineman when focused on the task at hand. Yet seemingly takes downs off and does not always play with great intensity. Offers a lot of upside but must make football a priority.
