BIO: First-team all-conference selection at guard last season after spending his junior year at center. Suffered through his senior campaign with a bad right ankle.
POSITIVES: Tough, energetic blocker that can be used at any of the three interior line positions. Quick off the snap, blocks with balance and has a nasty attitude. At the same time intelligent and plays heads up football. Stays square, dominant in a small area and seals defenders from the action.
NEGATIVES: Not effective in space nor does he display skill on the second level. Gets tall and more of an arm wrestler than leverage blocker. Struggled at the guard position as a senior and was more natural blocking on the pivot.
ANALYSIS: Stepanovich is a closed-quarters blocker whose best shot would be at center for a run-oriented offense. Offers adequate growth potential and should have a spot on a two-deep roster.
