BIO: Totaled 58/15/6.5 as a junior after a sophomore campaign of 70/9/4 when he broke into the starting lineup. Used at both tackle and end last season. Completed 41 repetitions on the bench press at the Combine then topped that feat cranking out 43 reps during his pro day workout.
POSITIVES: Powerful defender that can be used at tackle or as a two-gap lineman. Plays with leverage, gets underneath opponents and focused on by blockers. Holds his ground against double-teams, rarely off his feet and gets a lot of push up the field. Solid technician with his hands, strong in his upper body and throws defenders to the ground. Quick to locate the action and a load in the middle of the line.
NEGATIVES: Stiff, lacks balance and gets straight legged. Late off the ball and lacks the ability to immediately change direction.
ANALYSIS: A hard-working prospect that excels on the field and in the weight room, Olshansky is still rough around the edges and must polish his game. Strength and tenacity give him the upper hand though it may take some time before he develops into a complete player on the NFL level.
