Conference: Gulf South
Ht., Wt.: 6'2, 300

Grade: 3.16

Selected by Jacksonville Jaguars
Round 4, pick 22 (118 overall)
BIO: Led the team in tackles as a senior posting 84/16/5.5, after totaling 66/18/5 the prior season, his first campaign at Delta State. All American and all-conference selection the past two seasons.

POSITIVES: Explosive interior lineman that flashes on the scene. Quickly gets off the snap with an excellent first step, plays low to the ground and gets leverage on opponents. Wedges through the small gaps in the line, has a burst of closing speed and makes a lot of plays in the opponent’s backfield. Flows to the play laterally and wraps up the ball carrier at the point of attack.

NEGATIVES: Showed a lot of hustle in the postseason, but has the rap of being a selfish individual that wants to do his own thing. Driven off the line by large, bulky opponents.

ANALYSIS: A prospect that stands out on film because of his explosiveness, Maddox could fit as a role player in a number of defensive schemes in the NFL. Before that happens he must prove football is a priority and learn to become a team guy that listens to coaches.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
