BIO: Four-year starter who posted career numbers of 67/1,066/11 as a senior after 54/893/8 the previous season. All-conference selection the past two years. Only receiver to bench press at the Combine and completed 18 repetitions at 225 pounds.
POSITIVES: King-sized collegiate receiver that could eventually project to tight end. Fluid releasing off the line, easily gets off jams by opponents and runs nice routes for a big wide out. Physical, defeats opponents and out muscles them to make the tough grab. Extends his hands to catch the ball from his frame and not afraid to make the difficult reception in traffic. Intelligent, finds the sticks on third down or the open spot in a defense. Described as a good worker that competes hard.
NEGATIVES: Lacks the soft hands. Big but not quick or sudden. Does not play as fast as he ran at the Combine.
ANALYSIS: A pass-catcher with outstanding size-speed numbers, Krause dominated a lower level of competition yet did not stand out at the Blue-Gray game when pitted against better players. Needs time to adjust to the top athletes he'll be facing at the next level and must round off his game but has the skills to succeed as a possession wide out or red-zone target at the next level.
