2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 James Miller Grade: 3.05
 Position: OG
 Class: Sr
 School: Virginia Tech
 Conference: ACC
 Ht., Wt.: 6-5.5, 300
 40 Time: 5.46

BIO: Two-year starter at guard who also saw limited action with the first team as a sophomore.

POSITIVES: Hard-working lineman with limited athletic ability. Quick off the snap, immediately gets his hands up and blocks with a wide base. Jolts opponents at the point, strong upper body, and gets movement from run blocks. Stays with the action and attacks assignments. Solid position blocker who walls defenders from the action.

NEGATIVES: Not a knee bender or leverage blocker. Overextends, bends at the waist and limited to a small area. Struggles in motion and not effective on the second level.

ANALYSIS: A nice-sized blocker who always gives top effort, Miller could backup in the NFL if he improves his technique, playing strength, and learns to finish blocks.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
