BIO: Junior college transfer who had a breakout senior campaign, leading the team in receiving with 53/780/6. All-Conference selection last year. Junior totals included 19/340/2. POSITIVES: Well-sized, consistent wideout with natural receiving skills. Quick releasing off the line, gets separation from opponents and offers the quarterback a good target. Effectively uses the sidelines, shields opponents away with his frame and takes a big hit, yet holds onto the pass. Strong and tough to bring down running after the reception. Effective blocking down the field. Extends to pull the high throw out of the air and displays strong hands. Has a penchant for getting free and finding the soft spot in the defense. Displays nastiness as a blocker. NEGATIVES: Rounds off routes and lacks quickness into breaks. Does not possess the speed to stretch defenses or beat opponents deep. ANALYSIS: A good-sized possession receiver, Stovall fits nicely as an intermediate range target. Needs to smooth over the rough edges of his game, yet his abilities as a third-down receiver as well as his blocking skills could afford him playing time as a rookie in the NFL.
