BIO: Full-time starter the past two seasons at right guard. Arrested in July of 2004 on two felony counts and eventually sentenced to one-year probation.
POSITIVES: Hard-working, tenacious blocker best in a small area. Explodes off the snap into blocks, strong at the point and anchors in pass protection or turns defenders off the line, opening holes for the running game. Solid position blocker on the second level, extends his hands and jolts opponents with good punch. Some ability to slide laterally in a small area. Blocks down well on opponents. Immediately picks up stunts or blitzes thrown by defenders.
NEGATIVES: Narrow-based blocker who lacks adjustment and overall range. Not a natural knee bender and overextends into blocks.
ANALYSIS: A marginal athlete with limited size, Meeks uses all his assets to a maximum. Could earn a backup position at the next level if he learns to control himself off the field.
