BIO: Junior college transfer who posted 7/102/1 catching the ball last season with no rushing stats. Redshirted in 2003 after playing in four games as a reserve fullback the prior year.
POSITIVES: Little-used lead blocker with outstanding athleticism and terrific upside for the next level. Aggressive, faces up into opponents and gets movement from run blocks. Strong at the point, attacks assignments and displays good blocking vision. Relatively quick off the snap. Solid as a receiver out of the backfield.
NEGATIVES: Limited by injuries prior to his senior campaign. Unable to work out in the postseason due to injuries. Rarely used as a ballcarrier. Never a full-time player in Miami.s offense.
ANALYSIS: If he stays healthy and hits on all cylinders, Humphrey could be one of the diamonds in the rough this April. Needs a lot of repetition, yet if a team is patient, it could hit a home run, as he is a potential triple-threat fullback.
