BIO: Moved into the starting unit last year and a second-team All-Conference choice after posting 22/218/4. Saw significant action the previous two seasons backing up Sean Ryan.
POSITIVES: Well-rounded tight end effective as both a blocker or pass catcher. Plays with a nasty attitude, strong at the point and turns defenders off the line. Quick off the snap and effectively uses his hands as a blocker. Fluid releasing off the line into pass routes, plays faster than his timed speed, and catches the pass in stride. Adjusts well to the errant throw, extends and looks the pass into his hands. Uses his large frame to shield away opponents and makes the difficult reception in traffic.
NEGATIVES: Stiff and does not cover much area as a blocker. Not a tight end who makes plays into the defensive secondary.
ANALYSIS: Solid in most aspects of the game, Kashetta lacks the top size/speed numbers to be anything other than a second tight end in the NFL. Yet with that he has the potential to stay in the league for a long time.
