BIO: Junior college transfer who posted 13/204/2 as a senior, averaging 15.7 yards per reception. Saw no action the previous two seasons.
POSITIVES: Size/speed prospect who shows flashes of ability. Quick releasing off the line, plays with a good degree of explosion and possesses a burst of speed. Gets separation from opponents running routes, then effectively uses his frame to shield them away. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, extends to make the reception away from his frame, and works to pick up yards running after the catch. Easily makes the reception in stride running full speed.
NEGATIVES: Lacks consistent hands and lets catchable throws slip by. Cannot pluck the fastball out of the air. Minimal playing experience the past three seasons.
ANALYSIS: A project in the works, Madison is the complete package physically, yet must start to translate his athletic abilities onto the football field with greater consistency. Needs a lot of repetition but is a solid practice-squad prospect a team can develop over the long haul.
