BIO: Winner of the Maxwell, Davey O'Brien and Johnny Unitas Awards last season after posting passing numbers of 65.4 percent/3,205/35/9. Consensus All-America and winner of the Heisman Trophy in 2003 after 61.6 percent/3,846/40/10. Tore an ACL in each knee during the two seasons prior to his junior campaign.
POSITIVES: Patient pocket passer with an excellent command of the offense. Buys time for receivers, senses the blitz and remains poised. Waits until the last second before releasing the throw, even if it means taking a big hit. Sells the ball fakes, displays good field sense and knows where receivers are on the field. Consistently finds the open wideout and comes up with the important completion on third down. Goes through receiver progressions, looks off the safety and passes to the safe underneath route rather than force the throw. Leads receivers between the hashes and possesses outstanding intangibles.
NEGATIVES: Cannot escape the rush or pick up yardage with his legs. Lacks the deep are and accuracy down the field. Has difficulty against zone coverage. Takes most of his snaps out of the shotgun.
ANALYSIS: Incredibly productive on the college level, White has done well leading Oklahoma the past two seasons. Durability issues coupled with marginal physical skills limit his upside for the next level, yet his understanding of the game will makes him an asset for any roster.
