BIO: Started the final nine games of the regular season during his freshman campaign and has played with the first unit ever since. All-Conference selection the past three years. POSITIVES: Tough, interior blocker with limited size and growth potential. Explosive off the snap, jolts opponents at the point and a solid position blocker. Keeps his feet moving throughout the action, stays square and quickly gets his hands into opponents. Effectively uses blocking angles and plays with a nasty attitude. NEGATIVES: Gets tall and does not block with leverage. Not dominant on the inside and pushed back into the pocket. Lacks balance, footwork, and has difficulty moving in any direction other than straight ahead. Had minor knee surgery performed in the offseason. ANALYSIS: A hard-working blocker but limited athlete, Carter displays marginal playing strength and shows little in the way of creating running lanes in the middle of the field.
