BIO: Four-year starter used at both left and right tackle. Awarded All-Conference and All-Academic honors throughout his college career.
POSITIVES: Intelligent, hard-working blocker with marginal athleticism. Sets with a wide base, quickly gets off the ball, and displays pop at the point of attack. Patient, stays square and effectively uses blocking angles. Keeps his feet moving throughout the action, works to play with leverage, and is an excellent position blocker who seals defenders from the action. Works well with teammates and always looking for someone to hit.
NEGATIVES: Limited strength at the point and does not get movement from run blocks. Lacks top footwork and beaten off the edge by speedy pass rushers. Has difficulty controlling opponents for long periods of time.
ANALYSIS: An efficient and workmanlike offensive lineman, Sims is best in a small area. Best suited for guard at the next level and has potential in a zone blocking scheme.
