BIO: Four-year starter used at both right tackle and right guard.
POSITIVES: Tough, heads-up blocker best in confined quarters. Sets quickly at the snap, moves opponents off the ball, then uses body positioning to wall defenders from the play. Strong, pushes oncoming rushers from their angle of attack or engulfs defenders at the point. Sets with a wide base and explosive at the initial point of contact. Immediately picks up twists or blitzes and works well with linemates.
NEGATIVES: Lacks adjustment, not light on his feet and has difficulty finishing. Lacks top footwork in pass protection.
ANALYSIS: A physical blocker with good football intelligence, Babcock is best suited for guard at the next level. A marginal athlete, his understanding and approach to the game give him a slight chance to back up in the NFL.
