2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 Paul Jefferson Grade: 3.24
 Position: FB
 Class: Sr
 School: Penn St.
 Conference: Big Ten
 Ht., Wt.: 6-0.5, 260
 40 Time: 4.75

BIO: Moved into the starting role as a senior, carrying the ball only four times for 3 yards. Added 16 receptions for 106 yards.

POSITIVES: Big, powerful lead fullback in the traditional mold. Solid athlete who displays the agility to get outside around tackle. Nasty, goes after defenders and accelerates into blocks. Possesses both power and pop at the point of attack, turns opponents off the mark then drives them backwards. Good awareness and vision, mentally sees the field and works until the whistle blows.

NEGATIVES: Stiff, lacks adjustment and has difficulty picking up stunts or blitzes thrown by defenders. Just ordinary playing speed.

ANALYSIS: After looking like a top prospect early in his career, Jefferson now comes off a disappointing senior campaign and questions have arisen about his potential for the next level. Possesses solid size/speed numbers, football intelligence and a terrific attitude for a lead blocker who does the little things well.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
