2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 Albert Means Grade: 3.3
 Position: DT
 Class: Sr
 School: Memphis
 Conference: C-USA
 Ht., Wt.: 6-4, 318
 40 Time: 5.49

BIO: Two-year starter named second team All-Conference as a senior after 39/8/4. Junior totals included 51/2/2.

POSITIVES: Big, wide-bodied lineman who effectively clogs the middle of the field. Takes up a lot of room, tough to handle and flashes a nasty attitude. Possesses a straight line burst of speed and adequate power in his lower body. Diagnoses the action and quickly locates the ball.

NEGATIVES: Does not play with balance and leverage, and lets opponents underneath him. Easily handled at the point by a single blocker or pushed off the ball. Not light on his feet or fluid moving laterally.

ANALYSIS: Flashing skills as a run stuffer up the middle, Means has potential at the next level as either a conventional defensive tackle or on the nose. Must significantly improve his playing strength and maintain proper conditioning year-round to have any shot of making a roster.

PROJECTION: Late Seventh Round
