BIO: Three year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after leading the team in receiving with 52/862/12. Junior totals included a career high 66/1,006/9.
POSITIVES: Consistent pass catcher with reliable hands. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, comes back to the ball and goes up in a crowd to make the difficult catch. Stays low exiting routes, positions himself to make the reception and out muscles or physically defeats opponents. Extends and offers the quarterback a nice target. Tough running after the reception, breaks tackles and picks up positive yardage.
NEGATIVES: Possesses built up speed rather than a quick, explosive burst. Choppy footwork into breaks.
ANALYSIS: A productive collegiate receiver with good upside for the next level, Williams has fallen under the radar screen in scouting circles the past two seasons. Continually got the job done at Tulane and turned in an outstanding performance at the Senior Bowl when he was a late-week roster addition. Wont' be selected until the later rounds yet could be a very productive fourth wide out at the next level.
