Josh Davis - WR

 Josh Davis Grade: 3.41
 Position: WR
 Class: Jr
 School: Marshall
 Conference: MAC
 Ht., Wt.: 6-0.5, 191
 40 Time: 4.6

BIO: Former All-Conference selection who finished with a career high 86/914/7 as a senior. Experienced kick and punt returner.

POSITIVES: Natural wideout best in the underneath coverage. Consistently gets separation from defenders and finds a way to come free. Extends his hands to make the reception away from his body. Quick off the line, sells routes and shields opponents away with his frame. Comes back to the ball, gets vertical and adjusts to the errant throw. Possesses soft hands. Remains focused and comes away with the tough catch in traffic. Sharp route runner who stays low exiting breaks. Displays both focus and concentration. Adequate blocker down the field.

NEGATIVES: Not a speedster who outruns opponents in the open field. Has difficulty beating jams at the line of scrimmage or making the reception against larger opponents. Despite the statistics, coming off a spotty senior campaign.

ANALYSIS: Productive on the college level, Davis has potential as a fourth receiver in the NFL. Proving return skills in camp will help give him a serious shot at making a final roster.

PROJECTION: Mid Sixth Round
