Adam Seward - ILB

 Adam Seward Grade: 3.42
 Position: ILB
 Class: Sr
 School: UNLV
 Conference: MWC
 Ht., Wt.: 6-2.5, 248
 40 Time: 4.65
  Selected by: Carolina Panthers
  Round 5, pick 13 (149 overall)

BIO: Four-year starter and All-Conference selection since his sophomore campaign. Led the team in tackles as a senior, posting 121/7/1. Registered a career 133 tackles as a sophomore.

POSITIVES: Tough, run-defending linebacker with top instincts. Immediately diagnoses the action, efficient and takes good angles to the play. Quick filling gaps up the field, defeats blocks or slides off opponents laterally to make the tackle. Disciplined, does not bite on ball fakes and remains with assignments. Adequate speed to the flanks and displays skill covering the pass in zone. Wraps up tackling and plays with a nasty disposition.

NEGATIVES: Does not get great depth on drops or show top range in coverage. Occasionally runs around blocks rather than taking opponents head-on.

ANALYSIS: A solid football player who's been productive on the college level. Seward possesses marginal size/speed numbers for the next level. Has the instincts necessary to compensate for his lack of physical abilities and should thrive in a back-up role at the next level.

PROJECTION: Early Sixth Round
