2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 Sione Pouha Grade: 3.29
 Position: DT
 Class: Sr
 School: Utah
 Conference: MWC
 Ht., Wt.: 6-3.5, 325
 40 Time: 5.03
  Selected by: New York Jets
  Round 3, pick 24 (88 overall)

BIO: Two-year starter who posted 36/3/2 as a senior on his way to All-Conference honors.

POSITIVES: Big interior tackle who flashes the ability to dominate. Plays low with leverage, gets underneath opponents, then wedges through blocks. Displays body control, balance and rarely off his feet. Drives up the field, explosive at the point and quickly locates the ball. Tough and works hard chasing to get involved in the action.

NEGATIVES: Slow shedding blocks and rather easily handled at the point by a single lineman. Not a nifty, nimble player and more of a straight line defender. Will be 26 by the time the NFL season starts in September.

ANALYSIS: A large lineman who flashes athleticism, Pouha has been marginally productive on the college level and never met expectations. Offers good upside, but must become more consistent to have any chance at the next level.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
