BIO: Started six of 11 games last season and totaled 22/375/3. Academically ineligible to compete in 2003. Posted career numbers as a junior in .02 with 35/698/1. POSITIVES: Big, strong receiver who's yet to take his game to another level. Goes over the middle of the field, shields opponents away with his frame, and makes the difficult catch in a crowd. Displays good timing, anticipation, and adequate skill running after the catch. Takes a big hit and runs onto the ball. Physically beats down opponents. NEGATIVES: Inconsistent releasing off the line, runs poor routes and does not play with great body control. Marginal blocker who does not use his size as an advantage. Cradles the pass against his frame rather than cleanly snatching it from the air. ANALYSIS: Possessing the size and skill to be a prototypical possession receiver or game-controlling wideout, Perry flashes skill but shows little consistency.
