2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 Steven Vieira Grade: 2.75
 Position: OT
 Class: Sr
 School: UCLA
 Conference: Pac-10
 Ht., Wt.: 6-5, 310
 40 Time: 5.38

BIO: Three-year starter who's been used at both guard positions as well as left tackle. Second- team All-Conference selection as a senior.

POSITIVES: Big, physical blocker best in a small area. Quick off the snap, strong in his upper body and jolts opponents with good hand punch. Keeps his feet moving throughout the action, flashes power at the point of attack and tosses defenders to the ground. Turns opponents off the line, opening holes for the running game, or easily pushes them from their angle of attack in pass protection.

NEGATIVES: Limited movement skills and not effective on the second level. Blocks tall with marginal knee bend. Big rumbling lineman, not light on his feet.

ANALYSIS: A durable and consistent blocker on the college level, Vieira has potential as an inexpensive backup lineman who could be used at several spots on an NFL team. Possesses size potential that, if met, would only enhance his value at the next level.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
