BIO: Starting center the past two years. Saw action at guard early in his career.
POSITIVES: Explosive blocker on the pivot and a heady lineman. Displays blocking vision and effectively uses body positioning to seal defenders from the action. Alert, has a good feel for what is happening on the field and works well with teammates. Patient in pass protection, effectively uses angles and good with the shotgun snap. Immediately gets his hands into opponents, displaying adequate strength in his upper body.
NEGATIVES: Not a knee-bender and gets very tall. Lacks the strong base and walked back off the line.
ANALYSIS: A try-hard blocker with limited potential, Strickland is a marginal athlete with adequate size. His feel for the game and ability to be used at several positions gives him a chance to find a role as a backup.
