2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 Billy Palmer Grade: 2.92
 Position: TE
 Class: Sr
 School: Notre Dame
 Conference: I-A Ind.
 Ht., Wt.: 6-3, 260
 40 Time: 5.11

BIO: Two-year starter who posted 4/34/1 as a senior after catching a single pass each of the prior two years.

POSITIVES: Blocking tight end marginally effective as an offensive threat. Solid position blocker who gets good fits against defenders and seals them from the action. Quick to the second level, removes linebackers from the action, and strong at the point. Plays with excellent balance, body control and looks the ball into his hands as a pass catcher.

NEGATIVES: Does not move opponents off the line or finish blocks. Marginal playing speed and not a threat catching the ball.

ANALYSIS: Sized well, Palmer has a slight chance for a team that keeps three tight ends.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
