2005 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences NFL Teams

 Jeremy Davis Grade: 2.87
 Position: ILB
 School: SFA
 Conference: Southland
 Ht., Wt.: 6-1.5, 240
 40 Time: 4.81

BIO: Three-year starter who played in nine games as a senior and totaled 72 tackles with six more for loss. Lead the team as a junior with 117 tackles and was an All-Conference selection.

POSITIVES: Tough, run-defending two-down linebacker. Scrapes well laterally, makes plays in all directions of the field and easily alters his angle of attack. Explosive up the field filling gaps, displays a good head in run defense and hard hitting. Gets depth on pass drops and solid moving in reverse.

NEGATIVES: Not efficient and bites on play action passes. Does not play with great balance, body control and slow regaining form off the initial block. Takes a lot of missteps. Slow reacting to the ball in pass coverage.

ANALYSIS: A physical defender who displays a good degree of explosion to his game, Davis has possibilities as a backup on the inside for a 34 defense. Must improve his pass cover skills and become more instinctive when the ball is in the air.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
