Marcus Hudson - CB

 Marcus Hudson Grade: 3.57
 Position: CB
 Class: Sr
 School: NC State
 Conference: Atlantic Coast
 Ht., Wt.: 6-1, 195
 40 Time: 4.55
  Selected by: San Francisco 49ers
  Round 6, pick 23 (192 overall)

BIO: All-Conference selection as a senior after totaling 47/2/10. Junior totals were 70/2/6, when he started six games at safety.

POSITIVES: Physical defensive back with good size. Explosive up the field in run defense, possesses a quick burst of speed and takes good angles to the action. Flashes cover skills, has a nice break to the pass and keeps the action in front of him. Really stands out on coverage units.

NEGATIVES: Slow transitioning off the line, loses a half-step to opponents and is late arriving on the scene. Struggles with his back to the ball.

ANALYSIS: Raw in his coverage techniques and prone to making mental mistakes, Hudson may be best suited as a zone safety. Should flourish on special teams, an area where he stood out in college.

PROJECTION: Early Fourth Round
