2006 NFL Draft Draft Tracker Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Players Positions Schools Conferences

 Jermial Ashley Grade: 2.81
 Position: DE
 Class: Sr
 School: Kansas
 Conference: Big Twelve
 Ht., Wt.: 6-5.5, 248
 40 Time: 4.83

BIO: Junior college transfer awarded All-Conference honors his only two years with Kansas. Senior totals included 12/3/1 after 28/9/4 the previous year.

POSITIVES: Tall, thin defensive end with growth potential. Works hard, has long arms and uses them to get off blocks or knock away passes. Makes a good amount of plays in the opponent's backfield. Displays a short-area burst of speed.

NEGATIVES: Does not play with good pad level and gets tall off the snap. Lacks explosion and does not show skills in pursuit. Marginal instincts.

ANALYSIS: After a promising junior season, Ashley suffered a disappointing campaign last year. Must add bulk, improve his playing strength and significantly step up his production to have any chance of making a practice squad.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
