Maurice Stovall - WR

 Maurice Stovall Grade: 3.98
 Position: WR
 Class: Jr
 School: Notre Dame
 Conference: Independents
 Ht., Wt.: 6-4.5, 217
 40 Time: 4.58
  Selected by: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  Round 3, pick 26 (90 overall)

BIO: Three-year starter coming off a career season. Posted 60/1,023/11 as a senior after 21/313/1 the prior year.

POSITIVES: King-sized wideout with a developing game. Beats jams at the line of scrimmage, shields opponents away with his frame and out-positions defenders to make the reception. Sells routes, adjusts to the errant throw and makes the reception in stride. Consistently extends to make the reception away from his frame. Offers the quarterback a huge target in the middle of the field. Gives effort blocking downfield and seals lanes open for ball carriers. Plays with good balance and body control.

NEGATIVES: Does not always display a great sense of timing or anticipation. Lacks the speed to get separation downfield.

ANALYSIS: A large receiver who plays to his size, Stovall improved as the season progressed last year. Moving up draft boards, he is a first-day pick with potential as a second wideout in a conventional system or a No. 1 in a West Coast offense.
