Darius Walker
SI Grade
3.69
Position:
RB
Class:
Jr
School: Conference: Ht., Wt.:
5-10, 206
40 Time:
4.55

BIOGRAPHY: Full-time starter the past two seasons after seeing extensive action as a freshman. Ground totals last year were 255/1,267/7, with 56/391/1 catching the ball. Rushed for 1,196 as a sophomore and added 43 receptions.

POSITIVES: Quick, patient runner who works best on the inside. Waits for blocks to develop, finds the cutback lanes and runs through the hole with authority. Follows blocks anywhere on the field, possesses a burst of speed and makes defenders miss in a small area.

NEGATIVES: Not overly creative or elusive. Marginally strong and does not break tackles or pick up yardage off initial contact. Gives minimal effort as a blocker.

ANALYSIS: A solid ball carrier with no single outstanding aspect to his game, Walker projects as a third-down/situational runner at the next level. Would have been better off staying in school for another season, and is likely to be selected much later than he thinks.

PROJECTION: Middle Third Round
