Jay Richardson
SI Grade
School: Conference: Ht., Wt.:
6-5.5, 279
40 Time:

BIOGRAPHY: Full-time starter last year and posted 25/8.5/4 totals. Rotational lineman the prior two seasons, posting 11 tackles as a junior and 15 as a sophomore.

POSITIVES: Tall, explosive pass rusher who may be just hitting his stride. Quickly gets off the snap, fast off the edge and fluid moving laterally. Immediately alters his angle of attack, makes plays down the line of scrimmage and has a closing burst of speed.

NEGATIVES: Not strong at the point of attack and gets wired in blocks. Marginally productive on the college level.

ANALYSIS: A solid athlete with good size, speed and growth potential, Richardson showed flashes of big-time ability last season. Has plenty of upside potential which will get him consideration in the middle rounds.

PROJECTION: Middle Fifth Round
