BIOGRAPHY: All-Conference selection last season after moving into the starting lineup and totaling 37/11.5/4.5. Sophomore-year totals included 16/5/3.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized interior defender with a good degree of upside potential. Gets off the snap with a quick first step, fires up the field, and plays with a good degree of explosion. Forceful at the point, gets a lot of momentum going, and wraps up when tackling. Shows power in his lower body and focused on by opponents.
NEGATIVES: Straight-line player who struggles changing direction. Slow shedding blocks once engaged at the point and must improve his hand technique. Lacks balance and easily knocked from his angle of attack.
ANALYSIS: Sims stepped up his game last season after limited productivity and playing time at Auburn. He possesses the size and strength to be used on the inside and could eventually develop into a nose tackle.
