BIOGRAPHY: Started 12 games as a senior and led Miami in receptions with 31/619/2. Played in three games as a junior before tearing a ligament in his right knee. Posted just 13/183 that season. Used to return kicks and punts in the past.
POSITIVES: Explosive receiver who plays faster than his 40 time. Displays quickness running routes, gets separation from defenders, and works back to the quarterback finding the open spot in the defense. Lays out and extends for the difficult reception. Flashes the ability to pluck the pass from the air. Effectively makes body-catches when necessary and uses his frame to protect the pass. Not afraid to go up in a crowd for the ball. Plays with good balance and body control. Elusive running after the reception and gives effort blocking.
NEGATIVES: Not a big, strong receiver. Loses out in battles and easily brought down at the point. Lacks soft, natural hands.
ANALYSIS: Jenkins did a solid job returning from his knee injury of 2006 and had a productive senior campaign. His potential at the next level is as a fifth receiver and a return specialist.
