BIOGRAPHY: Started eight games as a senior and posted 56.8%/1422/7/3. Missed four games after suffering a seizure. Started five games the previous season and threw for 918 yards, but struggled through injuries during that campaign.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized timing passer who does not make poor decisions. Patient, displays good field vision, and buys as much time as necessary for receivers. Plays smart football, displays good timing on the outs, and hits receivers as they leave their breaks. Goes to the safe underneath outlet if nothing is available downfield and does not force throws into coverage. Looks away from covered receivers and quickly identifies the open wideout. Displays the ability to get outside the pocket and make throws on the move.
NEGATIVES: Does not show a big arm or the ability to drive passes downfield. Played behind a poor offensive line the past two years and has been beaten up.
ANALYSIS: Ostrander has shown the ability to lead an offense during his limited playing time the past two seasons. He made big strides last season and should be given a serious look in camp this summer.
