BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors since his sophomore campaign. Senior-year totals included 60/17/10.5 after 43/11/4 the previous season. Broke up three passes during his senior and junior campaigns. Effective special teams player who blocked kicks in the past.
POSITIVES: Athletic pass-rusher who.s at his best on the right side in a conventional defensive scheme. Plays with good pad level, fluid moving about the field, and rarely off his feet. Quick off the snap, fast off the edge, and stays within pass-rush angles. Makes plays down the line and shows speed in every direction. Moves well to the flanks and flashes ability in space.
NEGATIVES: Slow shedding blocks and does not show many moves or good hand technique to disengage from opponents. Inconsistent early in his college career.
ANALYSIS: Jackson comes off a terrific senior season in which he was an unstoppable force at times who impacted games. He possesses the physical attributes to be a starter in the NFL and the upside to produce right away if he continues to improve his game and play consistent football.
