BIOGRAPHY: All-Conference selection last season after career numbers of 48/19/9. Struggled with injury during his sophomore campaign and finished the season with 18/5.5/3.
POSITIVES: Athletic defensive end who offers potential as a two-gap lineman at the next level. Quickly gets off the snap with a nice first step, keeps his feet driving up the field and plays with good pad level. Explosive, displays a closing burst of speed and stays with the action. Fast off the edge, immediately alters his angle of attack and fluid moving laterally. Gives effort making plays down the line and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Better than average instincts and quick locating the ball.
NEGATIVES: Turned off the line by a single blocker and not stout at point defending the run. Marginally productive until last season.
ANALYSIS: Dingle is a hard-working lineman who took his game to another level last season. He possesses a good amount of upside and can play in the NFL if he continues to improve.
