BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter used at both guard positions as well as center. All-Conference selection as a senior.
POSITIVES: Hard-working interior lineman who gets the most from his abilities. Plays with good lean, immediately gets into blocks, and quick out to the second level. Turns defenders off the ball, seals them from the action with good body positioning, and plays with a nasty attitude. Effective with shotgun snaps. Fights hard throughout the action and keeps his head on a swivel.
NEGATIVES: Must improve his balance and footwork in space. Lacks lower-body power and does not get much movement from blocks.
ANALYSIS: Wendell is an overachieving college lineman with minimal upside for the next level. Lacking size and growth potential, his ability to be used at any of the three interior blocking positions could help him catch on with a practice squad.
